Wood FAQ's
What kind of wood should I use? The majority of our wood fences are cypress. Because cypress grows in the swamps, cypress trees develop a natural resistance to rot, fungi, insects, etc. We offer a pressure treated pine that is treated with ACQ chemicals to protectit angainst fungal and termite infestation. There is a limited lifetime warranty on this product. Please ask your estimator for more details.
Do you build your own wood fence? We build your fence on your property using the species of wood you choose, hot dip galvanized nails, and 2" x 4" rails. We do not install pre-built panels, and we do not use staples.
How long will my wood fence last? It is difficult to specify the life expectancy of any wood fence. All wood performs differently under different circumstances. Your estimator can answer that question more accuratley upon viewing your application. The life expectancy can be increase by staining your wood fence.
Why do wood fences warp or crack? All warping and cracking is a natural reaction to environmental conditions. It is natural and should be expected.
